Belinda McDonald – Principal Speech Pathologist

Belinda graduated from Cumberland College (now Sydney University) in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Speech Pathology), and has worked with adults in hospital and community settings (including residential aged care facilities) ever since. Belinda’s primary area of clinical practice is helping people who have communication and/or swallowing problems from a neurological injury (such as stroke or traumatic brain injury), a neurological or neuromuscular condition (such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, progressive aphasia, dementia, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, and other conditions involving the central nervous system), or after surgery to the brain (e.g. surgery to manage brain cancer).

Belinda trained student Speech Pathologists in hospitals for 32 years. She has worked in aphasia research, co-wrote a number of journal articles, and has presented at national and international conferences. She guest-lectures in Impairment Therapy for Neurogenic Communication Disorders at the University of Sydney and University of Technology Sydney.

Belinda established Neuro SLP in 2014.

Belinda is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, a Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), a Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT ©) LOUD and eLOUD Certified Clinician, a SPEAK OUT!® Provider, and a McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) Certified Clinician. Belinda is an Honorary Clinical Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney.

Linda Clarke

(Certified Practising Speech Pathologist)

Linda has worked as a Speech Pathologist for 29 years since graduating with honours from the University of Sydney in 1993. She has extensive experience working in adult communication and swallowing disorders in acute, rehabilitation and community settings, across metropolitan, rural and overseas contexts. Linda has particular interests in stroke, neurological and neurodegenerative rehabilitation, as well as student education. Linda has educated student Speech Pathologists for over 26 years in dedicated Student Unit Roles within hospitals.

Linda is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a Practising member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). Linda is a Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT©) LOUD/eLOUD Certified Clinician and a McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) Certified Clinician.
